If GPU usage drops below 100%, I'm guessing the following possibilities:ġ- GPU is reaching desired framerate (either set by VSync or by Max framerate setting).Ģ- You're bottlenecked by CPU. We were playing pretty demanding Mortal Kombat and FIFA on highest settings on same PC with no problems, I've seen it before in Unity games on my PC too, including Ziggurat 1. No vsync disable, triple buffering enable, performance modes or thread optimization or other usual tweaks helps. The problem is GPU usage, it goes down all over the place, of course with following framerate drops. I really dislike the z2 skill tree.Originally posted by Thunda Gawd:Yeah, I get it. They just simply increase your play performance without you doing anything. Where in z2 I feel I need every single upgrade. They didn't seem that interesting too me though, I wasn't planning on using these upgrades. When was it 130 out of 160(ish?) upgrades in Gunfire I didn't feel like I need the remain ones. I rarely buy anything in Gunfire at shops, so it's not really important. It's mostly more options and it depends heavily on the player to use these. However, these are not necessarily very strong. Where in Gunfire it gives you more options, more things to play around. No upgrades or all upgrades, you play the game pretty much the same. It has almost no impact on the actual game play. But it doesn't change or progress the game. Like, Z2 skill tree feels like it let's you keep up with the increasing threat level. Might be because you have to pay attention to what items you use and that most upgrades are basically just stat increases. I guess It's just hard for me to put in words. Empty skill tree to full skill tree is a big difference in both games. I would say either has more impact, it's hard to assess. I would say z2 makes it quite clear that it wants to be a roguelite that focuses on the players skill. I am not a big fan of the current skill tree and would even call it a mistake.Īdding RPG elements to a roguelite is not a bad thing. But it never feels like you need certain upgrades to move on. you simply play the game and get some more content. You don't grind unlocks in Roboquest or Gunfire. Having unlockables isn't the same as grind. I don't see Gunfire or Roboquest as grind though. Transplanting rpg aspects from isometric games to fps's is simply that. Ziggurat already has a measure of grind, of rpg development. I would actually find it discouraging if there was no limit. ![]() It simply tells me how much I played that character. If I maxed out my skill tree I get nothing out of it. I don't see a point in leveling a hero indefinitely. And there will be even more in the final version. There is a lot of content and stuff to do already. This is not a game with a focus on grinding. Anyway, that's my argument, and again thanks for replying. especially if you want us to keep playing. Always offer players development possibility.
